The nomads were nearby with their children and cattle. One of the Somalis lost a leg, his two daughters died. There was plenty of cattle lost.

Dutch intelligence
The two Dutch lawyers Göran Sluiter and Liesbeth Zegveld, assisting the two Somalis say that the Netherlands is partly responsible. Because the US among others relied on information that was provided by the Netherlands.

A case against the US, according to Sluiter harder than a case against the Netherlands. "The Americans will rely on the protection of national security. Especially when it comes to non-American victims. Under Dutch law, there is a war crime."

Innocent victims
According Sluiter allowed a drone attack be carried out only if there are no innocent victims in the region. "These people they could have seen Moreover, there was a lot of cattle in the area;. A clear indication that there were people."

The Ministry of Defence says to the newspaper that the government "has no evidence" that information can be used for "acts contrary to international law."
