"Hospitals don't know how much treatment cost '

Employees of hospitals are unable to tell exactly how much treatment a patient costs.

Of 67 surveyed hospitals 50 percent could not answer the question of what a glaucoma-measurement costs at an ophthalmologist.
Tv program Kassa Saturday on the basis of own research in collaboration with comparison site Zorgkiezer.nl.

But 10 percent of hospitals could in the first phone call a rate. 38 percent had to call back later or e-mail us.

20 percent of hospitals also referred to the health care provider. Health insurers cannot answer the question because many contracts for this year has not yet been completed.
