Your ticket in the trash or share a photo of it on social media, it seems so innocent. But beware, says a security researcher. You may display more price than you would like.

Bar code Krebs got a tip from a reader of his site. Who looked closely at the bar code on the boarding pass. And there is more information than you think. Through a special site he could the bar code on the boarding pass from a friend.

"Apart from its name, frequent flyer number and other personal data, I could also see the code of his Lufthansa flight," says the Explorer. Those were all information he needed to log on to the account at Lufthansa.

Change flights there he saw not only the data of the flight with this ticket, but all flights were booked on that account. He could also change the seat or cancel the flight.

Krebs gives the advice to especially no picture of your ticket to share on Facebook or Twitter. Reading the barcode on a plane ticket is very simple, because they are all the same way.
