Italian mafia for years active in auction Aalsmeer

Dozens of flower traders and transporters on the flower auction of Aalsmeer are the recent years ripped off by the southern Italian mafia. This reports the newspaper Het Parool. According to the newspaper, the damage in the tens of millions of euros and there are this week 48 arrests.

Members of the notorious ' Ndrangheta would have a husband want to liquidate that worked on the flower auction. Among those arrested are three brothers from Aalsmeer. They exported possible drugs between the flowers. During the raids is 17 kilos of cocaine found. In total there are four people arrested in the case, reports the police.

The police and FIOD did in March alongside searches in three companies in Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart and Aalsmeer, Amsterdam, six homes in Rijsenhout.

The investigation showed that scammers alongside companies from their large parties order flowers, but then not pay. The criminals left their companies upon receipt of deliveries go bankrupt. This remained the flower vendors left with losses, which ran in the thousands of dollars. In addition, the suspects could be linked to the healing of a huge party pallets with boxes full of chocolate.
