The former head of the Ministry of Security and Justice called for a preliminary hearing in an inquiry into child abuse in the 80 and 90.

They are former Minister Opstelten, former State Secretary Teeven and former senior official of the Ministry, Demmink .

The Amsterdam District Court has granted a request for the examination of witnesses. The request was filed by a former jongensprostitué. He says he was sexually abused and that the government did not act against it. He also says that Demmink abused him. Demmink denies emphatically.

The witnesses will be specifically about the Rolodex investigation into child abuse by high judicial staff. That piece ran through a leak. Opstelten said last year that Demmink not included in the study, but there are also reports that his name it was in view.

The examinations were next spring. An exact date will be announced later.
