A demonstration against the arrival of a reception center in Enschede on Saturday hundreds of people put on the leg.
The protest began in Glanerbrug, near Enschede. Initially, the variance demonstration was peaceful, but at 13:00 it still threatened to get out of hand because a group of protesters wanted to walk to the center of Enschede.
The police had a blockade on the Gronauweg between the two places, to prevent this from happening. The initiator of the protest, AZC Alert, distanced himself as a spokesman of the municipality, this group.
The mayor of Enschede has ordered to stop the demonstration. All participants are invited to go home. According to its spokesperson since they largely complied with. RTL News reports that one person has been arrested.
Police also confirmed that the demonstration is not out of control is gone, although some protesters have behaved aggressively.
