The Board of Directors of the Wilhelmina Hospital has its own receipts sent to RTL Nieuws. It is the first hospital that is transparent about the costs declared by the directors.

The Wilhelmina Hospital in Assen initially refused. But changed after a second request from RTL that, says executive secretary Pier Wijnja: "We received your second letter with a repeated request and then we thought: Guys, we have nothing to hide Let's give it just.."

Striking
The rest of the hospitals wants to now not disclose the receipts. A call of the House of Representatives and later Minister Schippers of Public Health has not changed that. Of the 191 institutions who had ever written RTL Nieuws, 114 sent a rejection letter with literally the same passage. This makes the publication of the Wilhelmina Hospital striking.

Research reporter Siebe Sietsma RTL News is pleased with the decision of the Wilhelmina Hospital. "I think it's tough for them to first take a step forward and to respond to our request. And of course I hope there are more to follow."

RTL Nieuws, the question also be deposited at schools, housing associations and museums. Those willing to be more open than the hospitals. Pier Wijnja of the Wilhelmina Hospital is sober about ". Perseverance pays more you should not do it."

Later RTL Nieuws publishes the results of the investigation.
