European jihadist terror network rolled

Anti-terrorist units in various European countries have a total of fifteen people arrested on suspicion of setting up an Islamic terrorist movement.

480x270-6.jpgThe group wanted to abduct diplomats and recruit jihadists to fight in Iraq and Syria, among others.

In Italy, seven men were arrested in Norway three, four in Britain and one in Finland. According to Italian media had issued an arrest warrant against seventeen men, sixteen Kurds and one Kosovar. The police in Switzerland, Germany, Greece and the US was involved in the action.

Among those arrested was Mullah Krekar. This Iraqi Kurd was detained in prison. Last month he was sentenced to 18 months in prison for insulting another Kurd. He was already several times before in prison in Norway, where he resides since 1991. There is a deportation order against him, but he is not sent back to Iraq because it there possibly the death penalty. Mullah Krekar was co-founder of Ansar al-Islam, an armed Islamist group affiliated with al-Qaeda and Islamic State.

According to the Italian police was Mullah Krekar from prison the mastermind behind the organization. The study focused among other things on the website jarchive.info.

The European organization Eurojust, who coordinated the operation, was already five years behind the terrorist to. Especially the Italian section would have been very active.
