Band stop talking about Paris: "We must return to Bataclan '

There was already a bit, but now Vice has the whole interview with the band Eagles of Death Metal, about the massacre in Bataclan, put online. "We have narrowly escaped death," say the band members fiercely emotional.

eagles_0-1.jpgThe founder of Vice, Shane Smith, spoke for half an hour with the band members on the attacks in Paris. The band gave a November 13 concert at Le Bataclan, when three gunmen shot dead 87 people.

Shooting everyone dead
The band members do very detailed their story. So says bassist Matt McJunkins the shots sometimes take up to fifteen minutes. "Sometimes it even. You felt stopped after the relief, but then again. Then suddenly there was an explosion started. I had no idea was there was the matter." During the attack he fled to a room where he confining themselves.

Drummer Julian Dorio tells how he while playing first thought that one of the speakers gave out. "Our music is by itself quite hard. But when I heard that noise was louder than what we produced ourselves, I immediately realized there was something wrong."

Death
One of the reasons that so many people have been killed, is that many visitors wanted to leave behind their friends, says singer Jesse Hughes. "I opened a door and suddenly stand eye to eye with one of the gunmen. He turns around and points his gun at me." He managed to escape the shooter. "I'm like a crazy run to the exit. There, I finally find my girlfriend."

Hall reopens
The attack in Le Bataclan comes crewmember Nick Alexander killed. "For ourselves, for him and for Nick, we need to finish the tour," find the band members. Singer Jesse Hughes says later in the interview with Eagles of Death Metal to want to return to Bataclan, when the venue reopens.

"I want to be the first band that plays like the Bataclan opens again."
