theo-of-gogh_0-1.jpgThe Lower House had asked last year to answers about the case Theo van Gogh. The parliamentary questions came after a broadcast of TV programs EenVandaag. In it, the prosecutor asked that Mohammed B. had to sue, was convinced that he got help from his act. Frits van Straelen said it "frustrating" to find that the criminal investigation 'has yielded little.

Plasterk has all available information view show again and comes to the conclusion that there is "no concrete evidence that Mohammed B. had accomplices," he wrote to the Chamber.

Quote from the letter to Minister Ronald Plasterk:
The Review Committee on the Intelligence and Security concludes that the available discussions no concrete evidence emerged that some of the people aware of or involved in the (preparation of) the murder of Van Gogh. Mohammed B. was given life for the murder and was the only person to be prosecuted in the case. But according to Van Straelen there is evidence that he had help: "For example there are indications that people are the Van Gogh route checked and ensured the firearm," he said last year. B., who was a member of the Hofstad group terrorist, was given several months before the murder, no payment, but still he continued to get money somehow.

Van Straelen also questioned the role of the General Intelligence and Security Service. The AIVD overheard the Hofstad group, but it only gave OM the recordings after the murder. "Many recordings were already cleared for November 2," says Van Straelen. The AIVD would not want to release certain recordings "from source protection.

No recordings destroyed
Plasterk wrote in his letter to parliament that the AIVD has destroyed or overwritten no sound recordings. However, the Minister says that the cooperation between the AIVD and OM should be better.

After the assassination came four people in an image which had possible knowledge of the plans of Mohammed B. "The AIVD has several official reports subsequently presented, but in ten cases, the inquiry was unable to determine whether the information is passed to the Public Prosecution Service. Henceforth, must be presented clearly in such a sensitive matter or information with the OM should be shared, "said political reporter Fons Lambie.

According to Lambie, the AIVD has succeeded clues about people who had knowledge of the murder. "Information obtained through-via was How's that exactly entails is unclear Information from the Secret Service will also be kept confidential in this report, but in everything, eavesdropping taps, the Committee concludes through-via-information:... There are no concrete instructions. The chance now new research or a reopening is small, unless Resurfacing new information. "
