About people much cursing and swearing is often thought to be stupid and uneducated. A study has shown that that did not need to be. In fact, if you have many curses, you probably have highly developed language skills.

Psychologists asked the subjects to mention in one minute as many different epithets. They had to perform the same task multiple times, in different categories such as species.

And guess what: the subjects who produced the most epithets, were also done in the other categories.

Healthy verbal skills
"Unfortunately, it appears that when it comes to taboo language, such as profanity and swearing, it is often assumed that people who use it are lazy, do not have an adequate vocabulary, uneducated and can not control themselves. From this study we can conclude fluent cursing and swearing positively related with flowing qualities in other language skills, "the researchers write.

"Indeed, many curses and swear words in your vocabulary point earlier in the presence of healthy verbal skills."

The research
As a starting point of their research took the psychologists the concept of 'poverty of vocabulary. " It is assumed that people swearing and cussing because they do not have the intellectual capacity to find other ways to express themselves. The researchers wanted to find out whether people who scold easily and often are less fluent in another language expressions.
