Also in the Netherlands will be another terrorist attack, thinks Gerard Bouman, the departing chief of the National Police.

ANP-34396180_0-1.jpg"I am convinced that there is," he said in De Telegraaf. "The Netherlands is an oasis in Europe. One of the few places where no attack was carried out."

That's according to Bouman possible by the Dutch police is connected with society. "We must not lose contact in the district. And the picture that danger in terrorism comes from outside, is belied by the recent attacks," the chief of police.

Police overcharged
Bouman warns that police were "overwhelmed" is. "We are no longer dealing with incidents, but a continuous stream of incidents." As the two biggest problems he mentions refugees and counterterrorism. "There are numerous platoons of the mobile unit on picket and there are 82 criminal investigations to counterterrorism."

The National Police has almost no money. "The end of the equity is in sight. That equity is needed to absorb blows. That blows we may soon no longer cope if there is no money coming in," Bouman presents, which takes on February 1 farewell.
