' Death rider ' A2 for manslaughter

The man who last week at the A2 caused a fatal accident, is charged with homicide and attempted homicide in six other persons. The 46-year old from Amsterdam is still in the prison hospital in Scheveningen.

media_xll_3503793-1.jpgThe man was driving Wednesday, December 30th, according to eyewitnesses with enormously high speeds over the left shoulder of the A2 and then collapsed on a car with seven passengers on the leftmost lane. The car with the seven passengers flew through the air and landed on its roof.

One of the men in the car survived the accident not. The six other occupants, three adults and three children, were injured. One of the children has been neck and two broken legs, and ran internal injuries, but since Sunday is out of danger.

15 years
The suspect of the accident Thursday brought before the examining magistrate, who decides whether the detention of the man should be extended. On manslaughter in traffic is a maximum sentence of fifteen years.

In 2011 drove a fuel thief, also on the A2, in a file that was caused by the police to stop him. In addition, another motorist was slain. This man received six years in prison.
