Van der Laan called stalking Jewish family

A Jewish family was during New attacked with fireworks and pelted by a group of youths. Anti-Semitic slogans were called as 'aufmachen' and even the front door of their home was smashed. The mayor of Amsterdam responded Tuesday to the events. 'Terrible' called Van der Laan, reports AT5.

I mean it's 2016, not 1945, '' said one of the daughters earlier against AT5. The family gives to be shocked by the aggression.

It began when the group threw firecrackers at the mother and daughter, and they decided to go inside. Thereafter, however, it did not stop.

The doorbell rang and there 'Happy New Year' said, after which 'Free Palestine' was called and the group firecrackers by throwing the mailbox tried. In addition, the group shouted anti-Semitic slogans like 'aufmachen' and 'cancer Jews.

An excuse
The family has reported. Although the father is Jewish and therefore traditionally wears a yarmulke, the family has never experienced anything like it. ,, I am not afraid, but I get the feeling that things like this are becoming more accepted and that they now have an excuse, namely Palestine, '' says the other daughter.

Amsterdam's mayor says happy that there is a declaration and that the police will find out. ,, If there is thereby a role for us as a church, we go there to look at, '' said Van der Laan. More he can not say about it in connection with a committee meeting next Thursday.

At Ard van der Steur there are parliamentary questions about the incident by the Christian Union and for the Netherlands (VNL).
