A fourteen-year-old Syrian asylum seekers from the Netherlands has been arrested for gang rape in Germany.

During the turn, he would have been involved in the abuse of two girls of fifteen and fourteen. Also arrested three other asylum seekers from Syria. The case is separate from the mass assault in Cologne, police said.
The rape occurred in the village Weil am Rhein, on the border with Switzerland.

The two victims had agreed on new years eve with a 21-year-old Syrian, who has a residence permit in Germany. They knew him vaguely. Together they went to his house. There he lived with his fifteen-year-old brother, a Syrian who is still in the asylum procedure.

The two other suspects were also in the home. Besides the Dutch Syrian, also concerned an equally old countryman from Switzerland. It is not entirely clear how the suspects knew each other, they were possibly related. The police will not say where in the Netherlands stayed the teenager. His precise asylum status is not yet known.

According to the police, there is no connection with the mass rapes and sexual assaults that occurred during the New Year in Cologne and other German cities.
