There are 62 people in the world who together have as much power as the poorest half of the world together. It reports the An Economy for the 1% report by Oxfam Novib.

Those 62 people have a combined capacity of 1760 billion dollars, so just about half as much as the poorest on earth. According to the organization, the inequality between the rich and the rest of the world over the past year has grown enormously.

Oxfam Novib is the report just before the World Economic Forum in Davos begins. That's the place where the economic and political elite of the world gather this week. Oxfam hopes that this group of people that pays more attention to growing inequality.

SHAME
,, It is a shame that poverty is maintained while continuing to increase extreme inequality. A major cause is the perverse tax behavior of extremely rich people and international companies. Government must demonstrate political courage and put an end to the harmful role of tax havens, "said Farah Karimi against the NIS.

Also ,, via the Netherlands to evade tax on a large scale. The Netherlands should cooperate with other countries and put an end to tax havens. This provides vital tax revenues that are needed to combat poverty and inequality. "

TREND
The growing inequality in the world is not the only trend that can be seen in the Oxfam report. Thus, it appears that the major part of the lowest-paid workers are still women. Employees are all over the world less and less share of national income and governments are increasingly in trouble by massive tax evasion and people who put their capital in foreign banks. The cuts and raising indirect taxes, which the authorities want to get solve problems then mainly people with low incomes.
