Put to the test

The United States has deployed the USS Curtis Wilbur to China's efforts to curb the freedom of shipping to be tested.

Beijing demands from passing ships in the Paracel Islands they ask permission to be allowed to sail this part of the South China Sea.

admonition

China responded to the US 'violation' warning that the ship is sharply monitored and that the commander has been given a warning.

But the US Department of Defense said that there was no see Chinese naval ship when the USS Curtis Wilbur crossed the disputed Paracel island Triton.

It is not the first time that the US Navy is challenging China over territorial claims. The trade route across the South China Sea is of great strategic and economic importance.
