Man (86) robbed while woman is lying on deathbed

William Klokker was this week's victim of a tragic robbery. He not only lost his wife after a marriage of nearly 60 years, the couple also was robbed while the sick woman lay on her deathbed.

This year they were married for sixty years, but so far could not get it. Writes the AD. Annelies was terminally ill treatment they did not want. She did not feel like going up and down the hospital from one to another operation. And so the couple moved to a hospice in Utrecht. At the end of the considered 86-year-old William there too.

Money Box missing

A day before his wife died there, the theft was discovered by their daughter who went to get some clothes for her mother. Wim told Annelies that the money box was gone. Money from Utrecht wanted to buy an electric bike. He almost had the money together; Euro 1700 he had saved up and he had to go 300 euros. All that money is now gone. "I cycled a lot, but now I get older I looked like an electric bike is a good idea," said Klokker.
