It will consider whether the magistrate has committed a crime with her statement as a false declaration or insurance fraud. The woman has the jewelry theft witnesses stated in its insurance, at a cost of tens of thousands of euros.

The judge was known to the general public by the Assize trial of the killers of policewoman Kitty Van Nieuwenhuyse. She also led the Assize trial of Leopold Storme, the 20-year-old Brussels who killed his parents and sister in their fabric in the Marolles.

Gérard remain in office until the investigation.
