"Dad, I have a headache." These were the last words of the 25-year-old O'Connor spikes. She had her father on the phone, but did not realize that his daughter was dying, and hung up the phone.
The US moved a little over a year ago from San Diego to Chicago. She wanted to be closer to her boyfriend and found a new job. Her father, David kept his heart fixed. He did not like the spikes went to live in the violent city and was afraid that would happen to her. That fear came Friday evening, reports CBS.
LAST CALL
Spikes was chatting in her car for her appartemntencomplex with her father, when something strange happened. "Every few seconds, she said, my head hurts, my head hurts," said David.
He ended the conversation ended, without knowing what was going on. "I realized it was me at the time, but it was the last conversation I ever would have with my daughter."
STRAY BULLET
David and his daughter both not realize that spikes in her head was hit by a stray bullet. The father had only found out when he called the friend of spikes that a roommate it sent there to check how it went with spikes. The roommate found her unconscious in the car.
Spikes was taken to the hospital, but in vain, they died Sunday. "I loved her so like to tell you again that I love her and proud of her," said her father. "She was a wonderful girl," he concluded sadly.
