Safe Traffic Netherlands claims to have received hundreds of calls from concerned residents about excessive speed in residential areas.

,, In crowded streets come daily twenty vans per day. If the trend continues, there are a few years fifty. In addition, we see that the number of speeding, illegal parking and other abuses increase, "says VVN spokesman Rob Stomphorst.

It goes well with the pakketberzorging in the Netherlands. PostNL has seen its turnover rise slightly last quarter compared to a year earlier. The growth was due to the delivery of parcels and the foreign operations, the Dutch postal market shrank further as predicted.

PostNL
PostNL booked last quarter revenue of 1 billion euros. That was 1 percent more than in the last three months of 2014. The operating profit, adjusted for pension costs and other provisions, rose by a fifth to 147 million euros. Bottom line net profit was € 15 million down to 101 million euros.

The proceeds from the parcel delivery went last quarter 7 percent up, while foreign business yielded 6 percent. Revenues from the Dutch letter market declined by 1 percent.
