Jake survived as a puppy a heavy fire, but was left behind by his owners.

Now he works together with his rescuers. Jake was still a puppy when he was rescued by firefighters from a House.

Despite that the dog had burns all over his body, he survived the wonder of wonders. However, his family left Jake during treatment to his wounds, after which fireman William Lindler decided to adopt him. Now that he has fully recovered and is larger, Jake joined are heroes.
The dog was during the house fire just nine weeks old and weighed only two kilograms. The little puppy is now become a strong and tough fire dog.

Jake is now the proud mascot of the Corps and may even show off a own badge. Jake also regularly goes along with the firemen of the Hanahan fire station. So he pulls together with the firemen to schools for education moments about fire safety. And he always sleeps at his owner William during night shifts. The two are inseparable.

"I wish Jake knows that he is still gorgeous despite his Burns '', said Lindler against ABC News.
