' UvA-Director Hans Amman leaves '

This reports NRC based on sources. The departure of Amman, which took office less than two years ago and manages the finance portfolio, comes unexpectedly. The University is just at the point to appoint two new members in the Executive Board.

According to the sources of NRC is Professor of educational sciences Geert ten Dam the intended college President, while engineer and Professor Karen Maex rector magnificus.

Virgin home Amman formed together with Louise Gunning and Raymond van den Boom the Board of the University of Amsterdam where angry students early last year against returned, including the occupation of the maagdenhuis. They e more public participation in the policy and application procedures at the University.

President Award left in april 2015 and now leads the National research agenda. Amman was up to his departure, vice-President of the college.
