Brussels police drunk with terror meeting

A police commissioner in the Brussels district of Ixelles was drunk during a major meeting on the terrorist threat in Brussels, on the day of the attacks.

The man had to take an alcohol test and then was brought home after he handed out his service weapon. This writes the newspaper La Dernière Heure .

All the commissioners of police in Ixelles were last Tuesday called for the meeting. The commissioner in question came too late, and during the meeting also revealed that he struggled to answer all sorts of questions.

One of the other participants suspected that alcohol was involved, and subjected the man to an alcohol test. It showed that the Commissioner had an excessive blood alcohol level of alcohol in his blood. According to standard procedure, the man's service weapon was immediately confiscated and he was brought home.

The spokesman would not give any information to the police in the district about the case.The Commissioner may in all likelihood face a disciplinary measure.
