In 2013, Cherish Perrywinkle (8) abducted from a Walmart store in Florida. The next day her body was found at the entrance of a church, she was found raped and murdered. The Prosecution has now released images of the moment when the offender struck.

media_l_8543338-1.jpgThe surveillance video shows how Donald Smith, the mother approaches her three daughters. Rayne Perrywinkle said she had financial difficulties and therefore could not buy clothes. The fifties wanted to "help" and suggested in the McDonald's -on the front of the shops to buy burgers for the whole family. Cherish went with him, she would never return. Smith knew her, after all, by the front door to lure out, right his white van in.

"The money problems are the least of his worries. He only has eyes for Cherish," said crime and security expert Ken Jefferson.

"Strange feeling"
The desperate call from the mother to the emergency services was released. "He wanted to buy shoes with heels for her, real woman shoes," it sounded there. "I replied that I did not want. They were much too high, would I even wear. Maybe he was trying to lure her. I really hope that he did not go murder or rape. I had a strange feeling from the first moment I saw him. "

The police gave little credence to her story because she was engaged in a fierce battle over custody. Therefore it took hours before an Amber Alert was issued. After an internal investigation would be punished six policemen for such laxity.

Litany of accusations
"Even though you think it is a lie, that child must be found as soon as possible. If it later turns out that the mother's story has sucked her thumb, you can still sue her back," said Jefferson.

After it was found deceased Cherish Smith could be intercepted on the highway. He was not so long still at large, after a case of child abuse .... In fact, his name is already on the list of sex offenders since 1993 because he had tried to abduct children among others. The murder was normally due to start within two weeks, but was postponed to next month.
