Nog dertien dakloze gezinnen in hotels

The reception in the former Walborgkliniek, also as a shelter is for asylum seekers, temporarily, VVD alderman Eric van der Burg writes to mention the council, without a time limit. Councillors are pleased with the reception in Buitenveldert, where families can cook, but they are still not satisfied. "With the emergency is resolved only part of the problem," said Meltem Kaya (D66).

Appointments
In total, are now thirteen families in an Amsterdam hotel. "The shelter in hotels must go back to zero," says Kaya. The council wants the municipality makes arrangements with corporations and institutions for homeless people to help these families as quickly as possible to own a home.

Problem is that most have fallen because of high debt on the street. Corporations rent their homes rather not to people who can not pay the rent. As an institution for the homeless, for example, HVO / Querido and the Salvation Army, guarantee, the corporation could tack.

Obligation
The house also comes in the name of the institution. In addition, there is a requirement for the homeless to rely on debt. Femke Roosma GroenLinks wants to go further. She finds that the municipality in extreme cases payment of rent must undertake to ensure that families with debt coming up on the street.
