Doctors on the night emergency are ready to drunk people entering every night.

The Dutch Association of Emergency Physicians (NVSHA) wants is put alcohol sales further curtailed.

The association plans to conduct a national survey on alcohol nuisance to the emergency room.

"There's always a lot of attention to problems with drugs.

But in reality the alcohol problem many times greater, "says Crispin president of the Fire NVSHA against De Telegraaf.

Puke, URINATING and scolding
On weekends, according to Van den Brand, more than half to almost two-thirds of all introduction of patients in urban hospitals severely intoxicated by alcohol.

"We see people who stand to urinate in the corner of waiting room. They broke into the treatment rooms. There are insults and doctors are threatened, "the president said.

There is always security presence in the emergency to curb the aggression fueled by drink. According to the chairman NVSHA cost the intoxicated patients too much time and energy. "Often the detriment of patients who are sober."

Doctors advocate curtailment of sales in supermarkets, but also for more general awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol.
