Colombia supplies Peruvian drug lord 'The Snail' out

Colombia has extradited the Peruvian Gerson Galvez. He was the most wanted man in Peru. The authorities called his arrest a blow to international drug environment.

The 34-year-old Galvez is nicknamed 'Snail'. He was sat by the Colombian police arrested in Medellin. Galvez was extradited to Peru quickly because he lacked the required visa.

The Peruvian leader would be a powerful cartel in the Peruvian port of Callao. The group is responsible for numerous murders in the region. Galvez was wanted for involvement in dozens of killings and large-scale cocaine trafficking.

The handcuffed Galvez was brought on board an aircraft under great media interest. While he was wearing a bulletproof vest, the gangway was being dragged, Galvez shouted his innocence.

Colombian President Manuel Santos praised the police for the arrest of one of the most feared criminals in Latin America. Peru had $ 150,000 offered for the tip that would lead to Galvez 'arrest.

The media in Peru Galvez described as very violent, calling him the new "El Chapo". Thus they referred to the Mexican drug lord who escaped earlier from prison, but in January was again arrested.
