"Less crime by terror threat Belgium '

The terror threat seems to have contributed in Belgium to a decrease in crime.

The number of criminal offenses decreased in the first nine months of last year by 8.8 percent compared with the same period in 2014, reported The Standard.

The increased threat are more soldiers and agents around the streets, so criminals would adhere more quiet. In total,according to the Flemish newspaper recorded 30,000 fewer thefts and burglaries. The number of reports of vandalism fell by 7,000.

Minister Jan Jambon of the Interior spoke of a boost. ,, The figures show how important the increased presence of police on the streets, '' said the minister. ,, But how effective prevention campaigns and the use of modern technologies, such as intelligent cameras can be. ''
