Weather car fires in Ede

EDE - In Ede again cars burnt in the night of Friday to Saturday. In total four cars in flames parked on the Dijkhof, said the fire.

The fire department was notified around 2:15 pm. After an hour, the fires were extinguished, but the vehicles are totally burnt out. The cause of the fires is still not clear.

Last time it was repeatedly troubled the Ede Veldhuizen district, where cars were torched. A group of dozens of young people - mostly of Moroccan origin - caused disturbances, particularly in the vacant mall The Lindenhorst, which will be demolished. There was until recently a tea house which was visited and which is also closed due to demolition by young people.

Yesterday it was announced that the Moroccan consul general is used to solve the problems. He will speak to the Moroccan community. Tomorrow holds Moroccan mosque a protest march in the district. The mosque would thus indicate sat his wrongdoing.

Mayor Cees van der Knaap imposed a ban on assembly because of the turmoil earlier this week.
