LONDON (Reuters) - In order to Englishmen to stir up the hatred of the continent and the EU, the British politician Boris Johnson has cited two European leaders who are the downfall of the British Empire high on their agenda.
Johnson said the purpose of the June referendum on membership of the European Union that the union across Europe would be placed under authoritarian rule, like Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) and Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) did.
The conservative former mayor of London Johnson leads the campaign against EU membership.
