The Egyptian terror cell which police have rounded up the end of April in Roosendaal, was planning to commit an attack in Amsterdam.

Naamloos-635.pngOne of the suspects arrested was a 35-year-old jihad fighter from Egypt who had traveled to the Netherlands with a fake passport via Syrian refugees route across the Balkans.

That shows broadcast from the Wednesday episode of the TV program under the radar .

The program sent recordings of the series of arrests in Roosendaal and the preparations by the police. It is not clear what would have planned the suspects to stop and what purpose in the capital.

Tip from abroad
The program shows that the police came into action after a tip a week earlier from abroad.Images were broadcast of the arrest of prime suspect Samir O. (56) at his home at the Mathilda Donk in Roosendaal and subsequent raid on a kebab trade to Leemstraat, where he is manager.

In the attic of his home police found a bag with more than a ton of cash. A substance that was found, would have been indeed an explosive material, according to the television program, something the police already suspected. O is through the prosecution of suspected financier of the terrorist cell. He would have kept the suspect jihad fighter from Egypt in the Netherlands.

Egyptian
Except O. has also held the equally originally Egyptian owner of the kebab trade. This man lived for several months with his family in a house that had rented the manager for him in Roosendaal. He was on vacation in Egypt when the police raided the house. What has been possible role, is not clear.
