Amstelkwartier gets its own 'flatiron building "with luxury penthouse

The construction of the 22-story building that answers to the name "State" (pronounced steet) starting this year, sales of housing starts in late July. On the tenth to eighteenth floor apartments are built with dimensions between seventy and one hundred and eighty square meters. In addition come the penthouses, starting at two hundred square meters. The cheapest apartment is about four tons costs, the most expensive penthouse three million.

This penthouse is four hundred square meters and will thus cover the entire top floor. The rooftop pool is constructed that is exclusive to the occupant of penthouse. How large is the swimming pool, will depend on the calculations of what can support the building. Architects Joris Door and Adam Smith, attached to ZZDP architects. The Papendrechtse developer SHAPE is responsible for the project. That the building does not exceed seventy meters, has to do with the restrictions imposed for its proximity to the airport. In principle, should not exceed sixty meters to be built here, but the municipality can it make exceptions for. This building may therefore be ten meters high, Laurens De Coninck of SHAPE explains.

In the Amstelkwartier is currently being built in the full height . The Kauwgomballenfabriek, one for creative companies Overamstel, expands with a hotel tower seventy meters high (completion in mid-2017), the Crowne Plaza Hotel is working on a hotel tower hundred meters (capacity: 300 rooms).

Station Amstel Amstel also appears the Tower of nearly one hundred meters high, with apartments and a branch of hotel group Meininger. And then there is also @Home Amstelkwartier, a 73 meter high tower, which is expected to be completed next year and to be energy neutral.
