Dozens of itinerant criminals get caught in nationwide action

Bij a nationwide action against itinerant criminals, the police arrested 82 people. The police left a Saturday know that a total of 467 people have been checked and that almost 3,800 speeding tickets are handed out.

Naamloos-737.pngThe members of the itinerant gangs are suspected of shoplifting, drug trafficking, identity theft and House break-ins. Among the arrested suspects are many Eastern Europeans.

The controls are between 17 and 20 may held on under more parking places, in international buses, in trains and on the water. In doing so, the police worked together with the tax authorities and the military police.

Among those arrested were two acquaintances of the police that for thousands of euros in stamps with them. Those were probably false. Also arrested a man with 40,000 euros in his backpack. The police suspect him of money laundering.

Saturday showed off the AD 95 Dutch municipalities that in 2016 the Crime meter crime has increased over the past year. This is almost a quarter of the municipalities in against the national trend of falling crime rates.
