Of profits for the "blijf' camp, which was predicted by the first survey after the closing of polling stations, was nothing in the morning anymore.

The result has been covered by more different because the countryside more people than expected voted for a departure from the EU. In several cities, where generally more voters for a bremain "are proponents won just less convincing than expected.

So it was believed that almost 69 percent of the voters in Newcastle would release a "blijf' vote. After the counting of votes showed that the voters against the voters by only 1 percent were: 65 404 voters voted for EU membership to 63 598 against.

Also in Sunderland, where brexit voters were in the majority, the departure camp proved much stronger than expected: 60 percent voted against Europe, 40 percent.

Scotland has voted as expected for the enforcement of EU membership. 62 percent of Scots support Brussels, while 38 percent want to leave the EU. In all regions of Scotland won the 'blijf' camp.

In Northern Ireland, a majority of 'bremain' 56 percent. The camp with dissenters ended up with 44 percent of the vote.

Gibraltar

British people of Gibraltar has spoken almost unanimously for EU membership.Gibraltar was the first with the results. Almost 96 percent of voters in the UK regions bordering Spain, voted for Brussels: the 20 174 votes cast were 19,322 to stay on. The rise in Gibraltar was over 83 percent.

The first political leader in the television responded to the poll, was Nigel Farage of the euro-skeptic UKIP party. He wanted - despite earlier statements on Sky News - not prejudge the outcome, but warned: it does not matter who wins today, we will ultimately win this battle.

Farage, who has pursued a hard campaign for a brexit, pointed out that "countries such as Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy" wants to get a large share of the EU population.

In preparation for "negotiations on Turkish accession and a subsequent Greek debt crisis" Farage predicted that the EU project will ultimately fail.
