The migrants boat was subsequently sunk, the Defense Ministry reported.

The refugees were discovered Thursday afternoon by a patrol plane of Frontex, which guards the borders of the European Union. Friday began at sunrise the rescue of 150 passengers. Among them were three children, 21 women and 126 men. A pregnant woman is under observation included in the infirmary of the frigate. It makes for good conditions.

It is the third bailout of the Van Amstel in ten days. On June 14, were taken to Crete 197 people from a sinking ship. A day later, 244 people were rescued southwest of Greece.
