Man beats woman so on with hammer

A 46-year-old woman from Looser is Saturday night injured after being ratified by an unknown man on her head was struck with a hammer.

The police have her assailant, a 25-year-old Dutchman who lives in Germany, later held.

The woman had her dog. When she returned to her car on the Ravenhorsterweg in Losser, she was suddenly attacked by an unknown man. He beat her with a hammer on the head and tried to strangle her. The victim managed to get away and called the police at home. Then she went to the hospital.

To the police told them that her assailant drove in a gray car with German license plates. agents saw the car at night without occupant. The suspect emerged moments later near on. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault or attempted manslaughter. It is not known what his motive was.
