Youth are more than 10-hour silent

Young people between 12 and 20 years of little movement. They spend as much as 10.4 hours a day sitting down. All Dutch do it not: average is 8.7 hours per day spent on the backside.

This is shown from the Lifestyle Monitor 2015 RIVM. Between the Dutch sitting behavior varies greatly by age. So bring children from 4 to 12 years the least time sitting sitting down: an average of 7.3 hours per day.

Weekend

Teens spend a lot of time sitting down for example, sitting in the classroom, doing homework, computer or tablet use.

On weekends spend most Dutch average fewer hours than sitting on weekdays. Older people do not. They're the same number of hours on a weekend or on a weekday.

Education

Lower education average daily spend two hours sitting by less than those with higher education. The less educated are on average 7.6 hours compared to 9.5 hours in higher education.

On weekends, the number zituren at lower and higher educated substantially similar, at around 8am.

Prolonged sitting brings health risks with it, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and early mortality. Even if people have enough sports or exercise.
