A man and a woman have been detained, over their link with offender Mohamed Lahouaiej Bale is still nothing published. The woman would the ex-husband of Bale but that has not been confirmed.

Bale drove a rented truck 84 people dead. "Why he did, is still a mystery," said correspondent Stefan de Vries. Only after almost two kilometers shot the police him end up dead. For the attack he has sent an sms with the text "I have the stuff ', is still unclear to whom or why.

The truck is a few days before the attack rented in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, a neighbour village of Nice. Bale raced in the days leading up to the attack some reconnaissance laps, reports correspondent Stefan de Vries;

IS claims but no proof of link
French Minister of Internal Affairs, Bernard Cazeneuve, said yesterday that Bouhlel was not on the radar of the security services. "It seems that he was radicalized very quickly," said Cazeneuve. But how he came to that conclusion, he would not tell, says De Vries.

IS has already claimed the attack but there is nothing that suggests that Bouhlel was an IS-trailer. "In raids no documents have been found that indicate a link with radical movements or an assignment of IS. It's a mystery."
