These are people who indicated that they were hampered by a long-term illness, disorder or disability in getting or performing work. Nearly 400,000 of them were between 25 and 45 years old, the age group which on average has the highest employment rate. Of these, half were not active in the labor market.

More than 40 percent of 25- to 45-year-olds had a paid job with disabilities. According to CBS have employed disabled people in that age group less often permanent employment than non-disabled people. Especially in service professions operate a high proportion of disabled people. They include hairdresser, beautician or cleaner.
