The Ecuadorian authorities have agreed to a hearing on the charges in 2010, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor Thursday

Other allegations of sexual harassment against the Australians last summer barred. A date for the hearing will be determined as chief prosecutor Marianne Ny holiday is back. The Swedes tried in his own words to arrange a hearing for over a year. An earlier request was rejected by Ecuador on formal grounds.

Assange has been staying to avoid four years in the Embassy of Ecuador, for extradition to Sweden. But above all fears the Australian from there to be extradited to the United States, where his condemnation hangs over the head of his revelations by Wikileaks.

In their statement, leave to continue to provide the Ecuadorian authorities know asylum to Assange while he is prosecuted.
