Judge: Ayhan S. provisionally not extradite to Turkey

The court in Amsterdam advises Minister Ard van der Steur (Security and Justice) to Turkey for ecstasy smuggling convict Turk Ayhan S. (43) Not to extradite to Turkey.

First the minister, according to the court examine the circumstances under which he will be trapped there. The decision to deliver S whether or not is ultimately up to Van der Steur.

Dutch courts have become very careful with requests from Turkey. Some decide not at all about Turkish extradition requests. They leave it to Van der Steur to decide whether a person can be extradited.
