Amsterdam police find 1.3 million in car

The police last week 1.3 million found in a hidden room in a car in Amsterdam East. In a home was found under another 13 kilos of cocaine. Two men and a woman from Albania were arrested for money laundering and trafficking in hard drugs.

The piles of cash were found by a tracker dog who is trained to find paper money. The animal hit on after the car was arrested, but the money was not found immediately. Forensic Investigation later discovered that there was a hidden area was placed under the spare tire in the trunk. The 32-year-old driver of the car was arrested. He is still in custody.

In an earlier search of a property to the Albert Metzhof found the detective 13 kilos of cocaine, a firearm, a boxing ring, two knives and 40,000 euros in cash. In this house, the police arrested a 36-year-old man and a 20-year-old wife. The man tried to flee with the drugs through the back door, but failed. The woman is now at liberty awaiting trial. The man is still in jail.
