Barely two months after his appointment, the Donald Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort, resigned. Republican presidential candidate confirmed Friday his departure. Manafort had fallen into disrepute after his name appeared in the secret accounts of the party of ousted pro-Russian Ukrainian President Yanukovych.

"This morning Paul Manafort has offered his resignation, which I accepted," Trump said in a statement. "I am grateful to him for his good work. He is a professional and I wish him the best.
