Who wants a permanent job, which should be able to get. D66 leader Alexander Pechtold believes that the next government must ensure this.

83 percent of new jobs last year was either a temporary job, or temporary work. And who gets such a job, often leading a precarious existence, says Pechtold. It must come to an end according to his party.

'Curing flexworkers'

"Employers need to wean the frequent use of inexpensive flexible workers for work that is not temporary," says Pechtold. "We no longer accept."

Rules have tenure and flexible contracts, if it is to D66, become more like each other. The risks for employers should be smaller, making it more attractive for them to hire people permanently employed.

Never so few permanent contracts

Co-sponsored by D66 was adopted and the work security law in 2014. Who had flex workers and other temporary workers must offer more security. But the percentage of new permanent employment has never been so low.

D66 says there is nowhere in the world so few people move on temporary contracts to permanent employment in the Netherlands.
