Turkish government wants imams first integration

Turkish imams should integrate first before they start in the Netherlands with their work. The government finds out if it can be claimed from the clergy.

The government is exploring ways to make agreements that imams integration before they take up their activity reports among others Minister Lodewijk Asscher (Integration).

Turkish imams transmitted by the Turkish Diyanet public often have a poor knowledge of the Dutch language and society. "They are not sufficiently equipped to what is happening in our society, '' says the Cabinet.

But for newcomers from Turkey, there is no obligation to integrate the European cooperation agreement with Turkey.
