The driver of the car which crashed last night at the Uithof in Utrecht, tried according to eyewitnesses just to drive past a bus that the Sorbonnelaan was crossing. Or driver while driving through red, is still unclear.
In the accident were two of the three occupants of the black Ford Fiesta to life . The bus was driving on the way to the Science from the Uithof Utrecht East. When crossing the Sorbonnelaan arrived there by different occupants of the bus suddenly left high speed Ford past, who just failed to drive past the bus and was hit in the back by the nose of the bus. Then the car flipped on the traffic on the other side of the intersection.
One of the occupants of the bus, Melissa Lagerwaard (19), offered first aid to one of the victims who was thrown from the vehicle. ,, He lay with his face to the ground. I tried to talk to him and felt his pulse. He came here, but could not talk. Then came medical help, we turned him. Then came the emergency services and I quit. ''
Later heard Lagerwaard that the man she helped was deceased. ,, That was shocking to hear. When I was helping, he was alive. That keeps me busy. ''
The victims in the car were probably not students who came had to be at the Uithof or from there. The Sorbonnelaan is up to the west of the university area. Two of the three men are 26 and 37 years. About their identity, the police have no further information released yet.
On the car of the victims was a sticker of Just Eat, part of Thuisbezorgd.nl that home delivered meals. According to a woordoverder of Thuisbezorgd.nl However, the car is not the company, nor an employee of Justeat.
