Asylum seekers with a residence permit, the so-called status holders, no longer automatically get priority in the allocation of a House.

Naamloos-3280.pngA majority in the House of representatives is going to accept this proposal from living minister Stef block, which there is a desire of the VVD with it. That turned out Thursday during a debate.

If it also by the first Chamber, and there it seems on the local councils themselves should know if they give priority status holders. The municipalities remain obliged to housing applicants and if there is a need for priority policy, they should apply that. But there is no more by coercion.
Priority for status holders is now obligatory for municipalities which other groups giving way, such as seniors.
