Trainer Ronny Deila wants Thursday with Celtic against Ajax break with a series of poor results
"It would be fantastic if we win in Amsterdam", says Norwegian coach ahead of the first group match of his team in the Europa League. "But with a draw I also speak a good start."
Celtic were recently eliminated Malmö FF in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League. The champion of Scotland last Saturday lost the lead with a defeat against Aberdeen (2-1).
"These are tough weeks," realizes Deila. "But pity anyone anything. There are a lot of games on. We have to go, though I know a lot of people angry, sad or disappointed."
"But we have the supporters needed right now. We all need to stick together. I want to see an Ajax team that has energy. It will be a difficult game, but Ajax is also a great challenge."
