De Boer: "This is what you want to see every game"

The team of coach Frank de Boer won in their own Amsterdam ArenA with 6-0 PhD Roda JC Kerkrade.

"Nice to see that we so soon after the disappointment against Feyenoord, a tough game besides, this show," says De Boer satisfied on the official website of Ajax. "Of course there were a few changes, but this was a nice response. We have from the first minute to ninety tried to keep pressure on Roda. Very nice. This is what you want to see every game."

De Boer chose the absence of the injured Mitchell Dijks for a 3-4-3 formation against Roda. "The courage to play with three defenders and four midfielders worked out well," the coach noted satisfied. "A compliment to everyone. Hopefully we can do this in the next two games, which are also very important, to continue." Ajax plays Thursday in the Europa League at home against Fenebahçe, the following Sunday it goes again at Feyenoord to visit.
